DREAM ADVENTURE #42: Coachella



The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly known as Coachella or Coachella Festival) is a three-day (formerly a one or two-day) annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley. The event features many genres of music including alternative rock, hip hop, and electronic music as well as large sculptural art. The event has several stages/tents set-up throughout the grounds, each playing live music continuously.


My friend went last year and is planning on going again this year and I'm really tempted if I can muster up the money to drive down there, for a ticket, camping and everything else.

UPDATE: my friend and i were plannin on going and were waiting for our tax returns but Coachella sold out in record time of 5 days. :( The lineup I wasn't too impressed with but there were a handful of people I would have LOVED to see. Maybe next year :)

Venice

I know I was really going to try to continue posting my dream vacations in one picture daily for the month of November but I've been working so late and now my car is crapping out on me so I haven't had much of the spare time. But it's times when nothing seems to be going right when the magnificent daydreams grow and the yearning to be somewhere thousands of miles away grows too.

The romantic in me, hidden as far down as she is, would love to go to Venice just for the mere romanticism in it. I can just close my eyes and imagine the old beautiful buildings and sitting next to my loved one being paddled around VENICE...what the New York Times describes as "undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man". Stretched across 117 small islands, Venice boasts 455 bridges, hundreds of canals where romantic gondolas wind their way through the city
